Change can be tough. After all, change involves modifying past habits/routines we have been doing for a long time, possibly our whole lives! Change can also mean giving up something we like and enjoy, which is almost never easy.
What are SMART goals? These are specific goals that are easy to measure and not too difficult (or too easy) to accomplish. After all, we want to be able to know when we reach our goals and we do not want to set unrealistic standards for ourselves. Smart goals are also related to our needs and have a reasonable time limit on them (otherwise we may just keep pushing it off right?!)
S = Specific
M = Measurable
A = Attainable
R = Relevant
T = Time frame
Take this time to think about a few goals you may have when it comes to your weight loss journey. Remember, your goal does not necessarily have to be weight related! Maybe you want to increase the number of miles you walk a week. Feel free to write these goals down in your goal journal or however you wish. Doing this will help you track your goals.
