When we consider all the tools we may need to embark on our weight-loss journey, the typical items may include:

  • Kitchen scale
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons
  • Water bottle
  • Food journal or tracking app
  • Fitness tracker
  • Personal trainers
  • Exercise classes

The items above may seem essential, but you should also consider adding the following not-so-typical tools:

  • 7-9 hours of daily sleep
  • Self-care and stress reduction activities
  • Body composition analysis
  • Weight loss medications
  • Support groups
  • Medical specialists (don’t be afraid to ask for help)

Everyone’s tool kit may look a little different and that’s perfectly fine, as every person’s journey is on a slightly different path.
